What’s in Store for 2022

The new year is right around the corner, and we’re looking forward to what 2022 has to offer. Of course, 2021 had some challenges that will continue into the new year, but we want to reassure you that the project you have in mind will be delivered to our usual high standards.

This blog breaks down some of the areas that might have an impact in 2022, starting with:

Material Sourcing

Since the pandemic hit in 2020, we have seen the supply chain impacted due to regional lockdowns, a lack of material sourcing, and other global chain issues. This meant, that the wait time for glass partitions and mezzanine floors was longer than expected. However, things are looking up and hopefully already reduced wait times will continue to decrease in 2022.

This continued to be the case throughout 2021, however, there are improvements in timescales on the horizon.

It is important to remember that supply chain issues are happening worldwide and in nearly every industry. For example, the global computer chip shortage, which saw games consoles such as the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S very difficult to purchase.

Another area that has been impacted is the automotive industry. New cars can now take up to a year to be delivered.

After experiencing this shortage, we now prepare ahead of any potential future delays and plan accordingly with our clients, always keeping the communication line open.

Material Costs

Material costs increasing year on year started before the pandemic began, and due to the demand for materials skyrocketing and delays further increasing the need during COVID-19, prices have continued to grow.

Unfortunately, prices are expected to remain high until Summer 2022. We believe in being 100% transparent about our material costs and will always have an open conversation early on, before we embark on any project.

Project Capacity

We are very excited that we have lots of projects in progress, and many that are being planned to start in 2022. Therefore, we recommend approaching us with your ideas as soon as possible.

Are you thinking about a new project? We recommend calling us to discuss design, completion dates required, and the sort of budget you will be working with. From this, we will discuss plans, project cost, and anything else you might have questions about.

We understand that certain projects might need to be completed at specific times of the year, and we will always do our utmost to facilitate this; for example, building work in schools should take place in the holidays, as students won’t be on-premises.

We will also provide a thorough progress report throughout your project, keeping you updated and informed.

Overall, the issues we first saw appear in 2020 are now starting to reduce, and 2022 is looking to be an amazing year. We look forward to working with all of our clients, both old and new!
