Serenity School offers a unique provision following a therapeutic humanistic approach to education and childhood development.

We met with Serenity School to discuss an exciting project at their newly acquired premises in Crawley. The Crawley campus is located in a Crawley Borough Council building which was previously occupied by EDF Energy.

At the Crawley Campus, we were not only required to construct new classrooms, but the project also involved creating an amazing new food tech area, an office, a medical room, and a toilet.

The works undertaken involved:

• The creation of numerous new rooms using stud partitioning, with access via fire-rated timber doors.
• The fitting of double sockets and data points within the new partition walls.
• Laying cap and covering flooring, with the importance of establishing a safe environment for pupils foremost in our minds.
• The medical room was sustainably constructed by reconfiguring existing units to suit the new layout, and by reinstalling a sink and taps.
• All waste materials were placed in a skip, and once the work was completed, it was removed from the site.

We were able to complete the extensive works within the proposed time frame and Serenity School was able to open their doors timeously to students at the start of the term.
