Pragma Distribution imports and distributes telecommunications equipment throughout the UK.

The Managing Director of Pragma contacted us as they were moving out of their Burgess Hill office to a new industrial unit in Washington, West Sussex. They wanted their new unit to be split 50/50 between office and warehouse space.

 The Project:

• On the first floor, we created a large director’s office including full height glazing complete with the company’s logo manifestation, a large open plan area, a boardroom with dual aspect windows, and a small meeting room.

On the ground floor, we added:

•           Four additional toilets.
•           A shower.
•           A large staff rest area.
•           A technical office.
•           A laboratory.
•           A server room.
•           A reception area.

• The mezzanine floor was installed with two staircases, one to the warehouse, and the main staircase to reception that was finished with a stainless-steel handrail.

• All the partitioning installed included fibreglass or rock wool infill, to help with sound reduction.

• For the electrics, we installed three compartment trunking and all the data cable and power supplies, as well as all the LED lighting to the offices and the warehouse.

A main challenge was that there was no electricity on site, and generators were used so that no time was lost. There was a 10-week turnaround on this project, and SSP managed to complete the work ahead of schedule in 9 weeks.

Pragma are very pleased with their fit out, as they can now grow their staff, store more stock, and do in-house training, all at their new premises.
